With a programme of live music, crafts, street food and of course, the very best food and drink from Scotland’s best loved farm shop, Balgove Larder is delighted to announce a new season of Night Market’s taking place monthly in 2018.
The markets take place from May to September with an additional Christmas Night Market in December in Balgove Larder’s famous Steak Barn. The Steak Barn is a distinctive converted saw mill with walls made from recycled potato crates and a huge wood-fired barbeque at its centre. Visitors will be able to choose from a menu of dishes straight off the grill or select snacks from the changing roster of the latest street food outlets.
Shoppers will be able to stock up on fresh produce from the Balgove Larder’s master butchers and vegetable growers as well as a range of delicacies from other local food and drink producers: from bread, cheese and eggs to chocolates and cakes, craft beers to Scottish vodka and local gins, as well as a carefully edited selection of craft makers. While those looking for some entertainment will be able to enjoy live music from local artists as they take in the atmosphere and sample the produce.
Free to attend, each Night Market will run on a Tuesday evening, once a month, from May-September, 5pm-9pm. The calendar dates are as follows:
- 15 May
- 12 June
- 17 July
- 14 August
- 18 September
In addition to the summer markets, a festive atmosphere will be guaranteed at the final night market of 2018 on 11 December with live carol singing, mulled wine and a visit from Santa.

“We are looking forward to the return of our monthly Night Markets. The team here at Balgove Larder work really hard to highlight the very best food and drink that Scotland, and Fife in particular, has to offer. The Night Markets allow us to do this but they’re also great events with a line up of innovative makers, live music and really vibrant atmostphere.”
